The future of The Shield

At the October PCC meeting, we discussed about the future of The

Shield. We have recently noticed that the number of printed

copies has significantly dropped down, and most of our readers

now have access to our social media platforms for instant and

more frequent communication.

In order to save resources in producing a printed format of the

current Parish Magazine, the PCC decided to make some changes,

so that we can make The Shield to be a more efficient and

effective tool for our mission, especially for those who have less or

no internet access.

The current monthly Parish Magazine will be changed into a

quarterly Parish Newsletter. Although it is quarterly, it (we haven’t

named it yet!) will be very similar to the current parish magazine,

in terms of the contents.

Therefore, this November copy of the Shield is going to be the

last one we will produce in the current format, and our new one

will be produced from early 2026.

Finally, on behalf of all of us, I would love to say big thank-you to

our editor/compiler Rebecca Jenner, who has been faithfully

supporting our mission for many years.
